Plenary Panel: Transforming California’s Underserved Communities into Technology-Advanced Clean Energy Communities

EcoBlock Project Manager Dr. Therese Peffer recently participated on a panel at the 2020 EPIC Virtual Symposium. The panel covered the California’s Energy Commission (CEC)’s first design-build competition in 2016, which challenged multi-disciplinary teams to come up with replicable and scalable approaches for Advanced Energy Communities, particularly in underserved communities. Four teams were selected for the build phase. The panelists discussed their innovative approaches to transform underserved communities into some of the most technology-advanced clean energy communities in the world.
