U.S. Department of Energy (DOE): On June 6, 2022, the Biden Administration authorized the use of the Defense Production Act (DPA) to strengthen domestic production of clean energy technologies. Intended to reduce energy costs, bolster employment growth in the sustainable energy sector, and strengthen national security by reducing dependence on energy imports, activation of the DPA allows federal investment in domestic companies capable of building, manufacturing, processing, and installing clean energy facilities and technologies.
